Over the years of teaching Iyengar Yoga in Singapore, I have had the privilege of accompanying students with very different needs. Some come to relax, others to regain mobility, relieve chronic pain, or move through important stages of life with more ease and balance.

Iyengar Yoga is particularly well suited for this kind of therapeutic approach. It is based on precision, alignment, and the intelligent use of props such as blocks, belts, bolsters, and blankets. These tools allow each posture to be adapted to the individual, making the practice safe, accessible, and deeply supportive, even in the presence of pain, injury, or fatigue.

In private or small group sessions (up to two people), I offer tailored guidance to address specific conditions such as stiff back, shoulder and neck tension, or recovery from knee injuries. Many of my students come with discomfort linked to modern lifestyles,  long hours at a desk, stress, or intense physical activity, and benefit from a progressive and personalized practice.

Over time, Iyengar Yoga has also shown its value in supporting a wide range of conditions. Students have experienced relief from musculoskeletal issues such as lower back pain, cervical tension, or sciatica. Others have found support for circulatory, respiratory, or digestive imbalances, as well as headaches or fatigue linked to the stress.

Yoga can also be a valuable companion during life transitions. In pre-menopause and menopause, restorative and supported postures help calm the nervous system, regulate hormonal balance, energy levels, and ease symptoms such as hot flashes. I also accompany women during the prenatal period, offering a gentle and safe practice that supports both the body and the connection with the baby.

In my teaching, each student is unique. I take time to observe, listen, and adapt the practice so that it is respectful, precise, and truly beneficial. The goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but to help each person build awareness, stability, and long-term well-being.

Iyengar Yoga is not a substitute for medical care, but it can be a powerful complement when practiced under proper guidance and an empathetic support.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have specific queries or questions. I look forward to welcoming you on the mat.
